GREAT BRITAIN ANNOUNCE TEAM FOR 2025 SPEEDWAY OF NATIONS SEMI-FINAL

GREAT BRITAIN boss Olly Allen believes that consistency can be the key to a hat-trick of Speedway of Nations titles.

The national side will go for a third World Championship team gold in five years in Torun, starting on September 30.

Allen and joint boss Simon Stead have named new World No.3 Dan Bewley, Robert Lambert and Tom Brennan as their starting trio for Poland.

GB begin the defence of their crown in the first semi-final up against Italy, Germany, Norway, Latvia, Sweden and Slovenia.

All three Brits have been in the teams that won the Speedway of Nations at Belle Vue in 2021 and 2024. Allen believes that’s a crucial component.

He said: “I have 100 per cent confidence in the three boys who have delivered for us twice in four years.

“We are remarkably fortunate to have this year’s World No.3 and last season’s World No.2 leading the side. Dan and Robert have been outstanding for Great Britain and I see no reason why they can’t make it a third title.

“Rob was the best rider in last year’s SoN while Dan produced the breathtaking move in the final to pass both Aussies to bring home the gold.

“They are genuinely great mates and know each other so well on the track as well. The form they are both in gives us a great chance.

“Tom was excellent on track as a very young rider in 2021 in Manchester. He didn’t race last year but played his part in the pits.

“His form in Poland and Sweden this year has improved greatly, putting a point on his average, and he’s been very consistent for Ipswich in the UK.

“If Tom is called upon we know that he has the ability to make an impact at the highest level.

“We will arrive in Torun full of confidence and belief. It’s going to be tough, especially with the Poles on their home track, but the boys are very capable of achieving the goals.”
